About this map

This is a map of the Himalayas, a mountain range that separates the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. It is home to many of the Earth's highest peaks, including the highest, Mount Everest (8,848m/29,029ft) as well as 10 of the fourteen 8,000-meter peaks.

Note: Where possible I have included the English translation in brackets.
